According to recent research conducted by the international bank HSBC, Greece is one of the top destinations for anyone who wishes to live and work away from their home country, implicating the new “nomadic” lifestyle. Spain, Portugal and Cyprus can also be found amongst the most favored destinations.
The above research included more than 20.000 participants from all around the world. It seems impressive that more than half the participants were unswayed by the current financial status in Greece and appear rather optimistic for the future of their financial life following their establishment in the country. Greece has managed to climb to the 34th spot on the list, with 70% of employees stating that Greece offers better life quality than their home country. According to the collected feedback, the balance between personal and professional life has improved after their relocation in Greece.
Approximately 62% of the participants who have chosen the Greek state as their residence and employment location, added that they have purchased Real Estate in Greece, demonstrating that the Greek property market remains substantially attractive to foreign citizens.
Despite the pandemic and its turbulent consequences globally, the largest proportion of foreign senior executives working in Greece are optimistic for the year to come, while approximately four out of ten declare that Greek climate makes them feel “at home”. Two additional advantages of Greece when compared the remaining countries of the list are the sense of security and the satisfaction from the general environment.
